The IFA2 team have informed us that NP 289 (pictured below) is presently on its way to Finland to pick up the AC cables. It is now expected to start laying the cables in mid June. We have also been informed of a change to the cable-laying methodology. Installation will now start from the Chilling end for all 6 cables – not backwards and forwards as advised earlier.

I am delighted to report that Seafarers' first Push The Boat Out event seems to have been a real success. This initiative is an RYA promoted event held during May each year designed to encourage people to try sailing, often for the first time, and engage with their local clubs. Now the clubhouse is looking clean and tidy and ready for the start of the season, we need volunteers to keep it this way by helping with a monthly cleaning session. The cleaning is easier in pairs working from top to the bottom and should take less than two hours. It can be carried out at a time of your choosing. The Big Spring Beach Clean is the largest and most effective volunteer beach cleaning project in the UK. The event is co-ordinated by volunteers for Surfers Against Sewage. The 2019 Spring Beach Clean of Salterns Beach and Park took place on Saturday 13th April. A significant number of Club members took part.
