2023 Cruise » Over Night Cruise 12

This year's Overnight Cruise is scheduled to take place from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 August. The cruise will be to Corf Camp on the Isle of Wight. This is a unique opportunity to experience one of the most beautiful locations on the island. Corf Camp is a Scout Camp in beautiful surroundings at the southern end of Newtown Creek. Seafarers SC is privileged to be one of very few organisations permitted to use this campsite. It is ideal (with the tide in) for SUP and PUK (Pump up Kayak) use. It is a short country walk to the New Inn in Shalfleet. There is a more adventurous walk to Yarmouth. This destination has proved to be a big hit with Seafarers in the past.

This year, again, cruisers will be fortunate to have the availability of a supporting van (and Crew!) to transport heavy items and be used for the grocery shopping. A WebCollect event will be set up to allow booking. The cost is £26 per person. This will cover the camping fee as well as a share of the van ferry and fuel costs. There will be a food kitty for the Saturday evening meal, lunch and breakfasts. Included in the kitty will be soft drinks. If you have a requirement for any other type of drink, you are welcome to bring your own. Friday evening traditionally involves a group meal of take away fish and chips.

To take part you need to have booked and paid for the event via WebCollect. The payments will be held until Wednesday 16 August when a final decision on whether to go ahead will be made.
