Spring Series » Spring 2- Cancelled Due To Coronavirus
The Spring Series is the first of the three "Main Series". Each race in the Spring, Summer and Autumn Series is sailed as two fleets - Fast and Slow. Results for these races will usually be calculated on the basis of elapsed times although OODs may elect to run individual races as Average Lap Time races. It is usual to programme eight races in each series. For details of the scoring system and the definition of "Fast" and "Slow", refer to the Club's Sailing Instructions.
At the end of the season, awards are presented for the winners and runners up in the Fast and Slow fleets in each of the Spring, Summer and Autumn series. There are also "Main Awards" for the winners and runners in the Fast and Slow fleets of the three Series together. To qualify for a "Main Series" prize a helm must have completed the necessary number of races in each of the qualifying series.
