From 8 June, a limited cruising option has been added to the provision for post lockdown sailing. On Saturdays and Sundays, members may book a whole day slot, 10:30 to 16:00, The maximum on any one day is 3 boats and 6 people. These "Cruising Opportunities" are in addition to the 10 per half day "Sailing Opportunities" already available. Those electing to cruise should take all the normal precautions and recognise that the Club is not providing any support or organisation other than a tractor, where there is a volunteer. All should be considerate and conservative in their sailing.
Booking for weekend sailing is via WebCollect (for access, click here). Members may book only one slot per weekend. If, on the day, there happens to be a spare place, then they may book a second slot for that weekend. If you wish to cancel a booking, contact the Membership Secretary.
Details with supporting documentation and correspondence can be found on the Coronavirus webpage.
Note that weekend sailing can only go ahead if members volunteer to supervise or drive the tractor. If you are an authorised tractor driver or have the experience/qualifications to be a supervisor (OOD, Senior/Dinghy Instructor, Committee member or a member with special responsibilities), please go to the Duty Roster, find a convenient session and click on Volunteer.
