Commodore's Challenge - Sailing Instructions, with course, now available

Each year the Club holds a Commodore's Challenge, a day of fun and an opportunity to raise money for the Club's charity. The Commodore's Challenge for 2019 is to set a new Club record for the number of dinghies taking part in a Club race.
The plan is to combine the Commodore's Challenge with the 2019 Half Ton Cup and Under Half Ton Cup races which are scheduled to take place on Saturday 27th July. The two fleets will race together this year in the same way as the Ladies and Handicap fleets race together in the L&H Series and Fast and Slow fleets race together in the Evening Series. The aim is to get more that 40 boats on the start line for this race which is scheduled to begin at 14:30pm (LW: 13:00) with a Committee Boat start. For details of the race, including the intended course, read the Sailing Instructions.
The race will be followed by a delicious cream tea and a little gentle fund raising for our Club charity, Wetwheels. The cream tea, comprising sandwiches, scones, cakes and, of course, lots of tea and costing a mere £4 per person (£2 for cadets) can be booked via WebCollect. until Wednesday 24th July.
The Commodore is looking for your full support in this potential milestone event. Don't worry if you have not raced much, we just need to get you safely over the start line! It will be a friendly Seafarers' day on (and off) the water. Be part of history and join in....
